Many years of involvement with homeschooling and creating learning tools for children have been incorporated into these colorful and inspiring cards. Winktuck ABC cards are printed on heavy cardstock and laminated to protect from wear and tear. The vowel sounds are short and the 'c' and 'g' sounds are hard in compliance with the Montessori method of learning to read. Six bonus cards are included to provide learning options. The extra 'i', 'o' and 'u' cards have long vowel sounds. The extra 'g', 'h' and 'w' cards are just for fun. Enjoy! About the illustrator: Jan Smith was born into a family of artists and raised in New Orleans, LA. She received her BA in literature in the Midwest and now makes her home in Santa Barbara, California where she is an illustrator, writer, musician and helps people with their organic gardens.
